This is a preop photo of failed silver fillings with recurrent decay under the fillings and fractures within the walls of the teeth. Dr. Leonardi replaced these with a gold crown on the second molar ( due to durability) and two porcelain crowns ( first molar and second premolar).

A gold crown was used on the second molar as it is more better for the bite in the second molar position. A full porcelain crown was used for the first molar. The premolar has an old filling that failed which was replaced with a composite filling.
