It is important to us that you feel like you have options when it comes to covering the cost of your dental care. At Glen Lake Dental, we are in-network with Delta Dental Premier, but we are happy to submit claims to all other insurance companies on our patients’ behalf.

We understand that trying to determine what your benefits cover, and what you need to pay out-of-pocket can be frustrating and confusing. Rest assured that our knowledgeable team of professionals work with dental insurance every day and will be happy to assist you.

They will be happy to help you understand what’s covered under your plan and how it applies to your treatment. We do our best to get the most accurate pre-treatment estimates possible so that you have an idea of what your out-of-pocket share will be.

No insurance? We also offer payment plans available through LendingClub and CareCredit. Both are third-party lenders that give you a way to divide the cost of your treatment over several months and make small, affordable monthly payments.

If you have a question about insurance or financing or would like to schedule your next dental cleaning with our Goffstown dentist, please call Glen Lake Dental. We will be happy to help you schedule a convenient appointment.

Cosmetic Dentistry

If you want to improve the appearance of your smile that includes altering the shape or size of your teeth, our cosmetic dentist in Goffstown has the solution you need.

Depending on your needs, we offer aesthetic treatments like:

  • Tooth-colored fillings
  • Dental bonding
  • Porcelain veneers
  • Porcelain crowns

The most conservative and affordable way to change the shape or size of your teeth is tooth-colored fillings and cosmetic dental bonding. Both procedures use tooth-colored composite filling material that Dr. Leonardi builds up bit by bit to match the contours of a tooth.

This enables her to customize the filling so that it blends seamlessly with the tooth she is treating. We often use cosmetic bonding to change the shape or size of a tooth and also to fill gaps and uneven spacing between teeth.

If you would like a little more dramatic improvement, porcelain veneers are an excellent option. Dental veneers are thin, tooth-shaped shells of porcelain customized for your smile. When placed on a tooth, they conceal numerous aesthetic flaws and can completely alter the appearance of a tooth. Veneers are a more significant investment than dental bonding, but with proper care, they can last as long as ten years.

We sometimes use porcelain crowns to conceal a poorly shaped tooth that interferes with your dental bite or causes alignment problems.

If you would like to know how cosmetic dentistry at our Goffstown, NH dental office can help you achieve your dream smile, please call Glen Lake Dental. We will be happy to arrange an appointment to help you explore all your treatment options.

Crowns & Bridges

There are several reasons why teeth break or fracture that has nothing to do with dental trauma like a high-impact injury during sports activities. In fact, you may not even notice a minor fracture until you experience sudden pain in your teeth while eating.

In general, broken teeth often occur as a result of:

  • A cavity or tooth decay
  • Teeth grinding
  • Jaw clenching
  • TMJ problems
  • Uneven dental wear
  • Large tooth fillings
  • Eating crunchy or chewy foods
  • Biting fingernails or chewing on ice
  • Trip and falls

If you break or crack a tooth, the first step is always to call your Goffstown dentist and let us know what’s happening. Taking the proper steps until you see us always results in the best outcomes and include:

  • Find the broken piece and bring it to your appointment.
  • Rinse your mouth with warm water.
  • If you are bleeding, apply light pressure with a gauze pad.
  • If you are experiencing discomfort, take a pain reliever like Advil or ibuprofen.

When we see you, the first step is to identify why the tooth broke so we can address the underlying problem. If excessive teeth grinding has caused the break, Dr. Leonardi might recommend a nightguard to protect your teeth from damage while you sleep.

If you have a broken tooth and need a dentist in Goffstown to help you, please call Glen Lake Dental to schedule an appointment. If it’s an emergency and you are in pain, we will do our best to see you the same day.

General Dentistry

Dental x-rays are very safe, and at Glen Lake Dental, we use digital x-rays to ensure the well-being of our Goffstown patients. Digital x-rays emit about 80 percent less radiation than traditional film-type x-rays you may remember from the past.

It is important for us to ensure your safety with dental x-rays because they are an invaluable tool for diagnosing dental problems in their earliest stages. Dr. Leonardi can’t treat what she can’t see during an oral exam, and an x-ray allows her to look deep inside the tooth for signs of cavities and decay. She also checks for bone loss that’s associated with advanced gum disease and looks for signs of infections or abscesses.

We limit the number of dental x-rays we take, so you never have to worry about unnecessary exposure. Dr. Leonardi recommends a set of bitewing x-rays every six months to a year for patients who have a history of decay or ongoing oral health problems.

For patients with no history of dental problems, we take bitewing x-rays every two to three years. If you come to us with a dental emergency like a toothache, Dr. Leonardi would need to take an x-ray to determine the source of your pain.

At Glen Lake Dental, we believe that keeping you informed about your overall oral health care is essential and helps you better understand your dental needs. If you have any concerns about the x-rays we recommend at our Goffstown dental office, please don’t hesitate to talk to us so we can reassure you and put your mind at ease.

Invisalign and PowerProx Six Month Braces

A beautiful smile is important at any age. If you missed out on braces as a child or had them, but your teeth have since relapsed, straightening your teeth as an adult is a good idea. Crooked or crowded teeth aren’t attractive and detract from your appearance, and they can also lead to other oral health problems.

At Glen Lake Dental, we understand that as an adult, you don’t want metal braces on your teeth that affect  your smile and require years of treatment to complete. It is for this reason that Dr. Danielle Leonardi offers Invisalign clear aligners and PowerProx six month braces for her Goffstown patients.

Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment system that does away with the inconveniences of metal brackets and wires. Instead, smooth plastic aligners fit snugly over your teeth and are customized to gradually move them into the desired position. Since the clear aligners are removable, you can eat all the foods you love and brush and floss with ease.

Six-month braces like Six Month Smiles and PowerProx are a revolutionary approach to orthodontic treatment. The goal of six-month braces is not to correct bite problems but simply to straighten the front teeth that show when you smile. Because of the method used, treatment times are short, and many patients can achieve a straight smile in about four to six months.

It’s never too late to get the straight smile you want. If you would like to see if you are a candidate for either Invisalign or PowerProx Six Month Braces, call the team at our Goffstown dental office to schedule an appointment.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

At Glen Lake Dental, we deliver comfortable, stress-free dental care for patients of all ages. Updated technology, combined with the support of our caring dental team, ensures that you never have to worry about experiencing discomfort during a dental appointment.

Every procedure we perform at our Goffstown dental office is done with your complete comfort in mind. When you feel confident that we can help you manage any apprehension you feel, you’ll be more motivated to keep up with regular dental appointments.

Dental sedation is another effective way to help treat any anxiety you feel and help you relax during your appointment. Dr. Leonardi offers oral sedation that involves taking a sedative about an hour before your procedure is scheduled. This gives the medicine time to work so that when you arrive at Glen Lake Dental, you will feel calm and relaxed.

You will drift peacefully through your appointment, and many patients get so relaxed that they doze off. Just be aware that the sedative stays in your body for hours, so you will need a friend or family member to drive you safely to and from your appointment.

If you would like to experience what we offer and how we put your comfort first, please call to schedule an appointment at our Goffstown dental office. We are also pleased to serve the dental needs of patients in Manchester, New Boston, and all surrounding communities.
